What's it cost to get a decent slot car track and some cars? I realize this is like asking how much it costs to buy a bottle of whisky, but I'm just making conversation here. My mind has wandered from model trains to slot cars to a billion other things. The sun must be out.

Beats me... Slot Cars have always been "rich kids" toys in Brazil, so I never got into them. Far too expensive, the good ones. Auto World, which is probably my new favorite diecast brand, has been making 1/87 scale slot cars for ages now, here's the link in case you wanna take a look.

Also, 1/87 cars scale well with model trains, if I remember correctly.

Well, it seems like a lot of things in Brazil are for the rich. Speaking of which, could you send me some Guarana Antarctica? I'm out.

Ninco and Scalextric are both popular slot car brands. Can't tell you anything about tracks though. Some malls do have giant indoor stores with huge tracks to race them in.

Cool. Our mall definitely does not have this, but I may know someone with a decent track.
